Description:

The Project Manager is responsible to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) for all projects assigned.  His/her job responsibilities involve total control of the aircraft assigned.  The Project Manager shall be a position authorized to act on behalf of the repair station. Additionally the Project Manager shall be responsible to:

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Ensure that the coordination and communication between production supervision and production planning is continuous, produces acceptable productivity, and a smooth transition between shifts..
  2. Ensure continuous communication with and specifically give progress reports to the customer on a daily basis.
  3. Submit daily progress report on the aircraft he/she is responsible for to the Director of Maintenance on a daily basis, not later than 10:00 AM.
  4. Coordinate with the Shift Managers on off shift to ensure the daily objectives are carried out.
  5. Carry out all responsibilities within the guidelines of the Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals.
  6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in order to improve efficiency.
  7. Maintain total control of the aircraft assigned.
  8. Ensure proper scheduling of manpower and skill levels to support program and meet company objectives.
  9. Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with regulatory and customer standards.
  10. Coordinate with Purchasing / Supply to ensure the required flow of necessary equipment and parts while making recommendations to the Director Maintenance for improvement of production operations.
  11. Oversee the proper completion of all required work records.
  12. Ensure only properly trained and qualified persons are assigned to perform maintenance tasks.
  13. Maintaining premises of the repair station in and around work area assigned in a clean and orderly manner.
  14. Report unsatisfactory cleanup or maintenance services performed by janitorial, and assure proper work area clean up by the employees during work and at the end of shift.
  15. Ensuring preservation and tagging of all units or parts removed during the maintenance process.
  16. Initiating requisitions for stock and material as required through coordination with the Director Maintenance.
  17. Scheduling priorities of operations on the project assigned to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
  18. Preparing and presenting daily status briefings on all aircraft assigned to include delivery, man-hour, and budget status.
  19. Providing a focal point for all communications relative to assigned projects.
  20. Acting as back up to the Director Maintenance for responsibility of the Scrap Materials Program.
